Undressing Antiques and Cracking Glass Mark Hill Saturday 14 March 2020

Come and enjoy two fully illustrated lectures, given by renowned antiques expert Mark Hill, followed by an afternoon valuation and discussion session in which attendees may bring one item for consideration.

Mark will lecture on “Undressing Antiques”, which looks at antiques, both vintage and modern and how to display them to advantage in the home. Mark will also discuss the antiques market and will consider what collectors of today and those in the future will be buying.

His second lecture “Cracking Glass” will look at the post war era of Britain’s four major glass manufacturers; Whitefriars, King’s Lynn (Wedgewood), Caithness and Dartington. Illustrations will show examples of “Good, Better, Best” (Mark Hill) from the companies and will inform us how to spot a Whitefriars fake!

This event is limited to 60 people. Tickets will be on sale at February's lecture, price £33.

Registration from 9.45am, due to finish at 3pm. Morning coffee will be provided and a sandwich lunch with wine or soft drink.
